Antony “Tony” Ressler is an American businessman who co-founded “Apollo Management” with his brother in law, Leon Black. Presently, he is the Executive Chairman of Ares Management Corporation. In addition to this, he also serves as the co-owner of Atlanta Hawks of the NBA.

After graduating from the Columbia University, Ressler worked at the American bank and Wall Street firm, Drexel Burnham Lambert. In 1990, the bank got coerced into bankruptcy, and that led to the establishment of Apollo Global Management, an American private equity firm. Ressler and another co-founder, Leon Black, employed the heads of most of Drexel’s department.
