Brian Donnelly, popularly known by his professional name Kaws is an American artist and also a designer. He creates his own work and also reworks on existing versions. His sculptures are made from different materials such as fiberglass, aluminum, wood, bronze, and steel. Kaws began his professional career in 1999 when he created Companion Toy, which made him very popular. During this time, he also reworked on other characters, Micky Mouse, Michelin Man, Smurfs, and Snoopy. Since then, he started showing various paintings and other art products from Paris, the US, and also Europe. In 2012, he exhibited one of the largest museum shows in Atlanta, Georgia, called the High Museum of Art. Since he made the toy, he collaborated with various Japanese companies such as Nigo, Medicom Toy, and together ran OriginalFake Company from 2006 to 2013.
